BRAZIL: Guaíra mill reaches productivity of 97.12 tonnes per hectare in 2017/18

Usina Açucareira Guaíra (UAG), Brazilian sugarcane processor located in São Paulo state, reached an average productivity at cane fields of 97.12 tonnes per hectare in the 2017/18 season, reports Jornal Cana news website.
Total Recoverable Sugar (ATR) was at 141.54 kilos per tonne of sugarcane, considering cane fields with an average of 3.9 years.
The performance was among the best in an evaluation among 170 mills by Brazil's Cane Technology Centre (CTC).
Guaíra mill received 2017/18 Agricultural Productivity Champion award granted by consultancy firm Grupo IDEA, ranked as the best sugarcane company in Ribeirão Preto region, located in Brazil's centre-south.
Other nine mills in the centre-south were awarded by Grupo IDEA for performance in the 2017/18, in the different areas where they are located.
