ICE sugar down slightly

ICE March raw sugar was off by 0.02 cents, or 0.1%, at 14.86 cents per lb. The front month rose to a peak of 14.94 cents on Thursday, its highest since Aug. 2, according to Reuters.
March white sugar fell by US$$1.20, or 0.3%, to US$388.70 a tonne.
Biosev SA, the sugar and ethanol unit controlled by commodities trader Louis Dreyfus, is taking measures to cut costs and investments to be better prepared amid an outlook of low sugar prices, its chief executive told Reuters on Thursday.
