BOLIVIA: Government allows additional exports

The Bolivian government has allowed an additional 12,515 metric tonnes of sugar to be exported in 2012, according to Agra-Net.
This is on top on the 32,500 tonnes that had been allocated for the export market in late December 2011.
Higher production had resulted in falling prices on the local market prompting the government to act.
According to industry sources, the additional sugar will most likely be shipped to markets in the United States and Peru.
