DJ MARKET TALK: Liffe Sugar Tumbles 3% On Speculator Selling 1659 GMT [Dow Jones] Liffe white sugar futures trade down 3% as speculator liquidation hits both the London and New York markets, says London-based analyst. "There's been a trend of speculators liquidating since February," says analyst. Adds, it's hard to know what is driving the negative sentiment; whether it's the fundamental outlook of a large crop due from Brazil and the expectation that there will be a world sugar surplus in 2010-11, or external factors including the stronger dollar. May -$17.00, or 2.8%, at $592.50/ton. (SMC) Call us in London: 44 20 7842 9415 E-mail: londonsofts@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires 03-08-10 1159ET Copyright (c) 2010 Dow Jones & Company, Inc.
