DJ MARKET TALK: ICE Sugar Eases In Consolidation; Eyes Brazil 0835 EST [Dow Jones] - ICE world raw sugar futures are trading off intraday day lows in consolidative trade. May sugar is down 41 points at 21.78 cents a pound, off the 21.70-cent low, and Oct is 17 points lower at 19.76. Futures have been unable to sustain a bounce since dropping from 29-year highs, which leaves May sugar susceptible to more losses within the 20-22 range. Analysts say the market is eyeing weather in Brazil as the new cane harvest approaches there. China's October-February sugar output was down 6.7% from the previous year, the China Sugar Association says. Liffe May white sugar is down $9.50 at $600 a ton.
