DJ MARKET TALK: ICE March Sugar Ends Higher, But Pares Gains 1514 EST [Dow Jones] - World raw sugar futures rose Monday on speculative fund buying sparked by a weak U.S. dollar and gains in the key crude oil and precious metals markets. Fundamental news remains bullish as global supplies remain tight, providing underlying price support. The global sugar market is expected to remain tight through 2010, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia says, though demand is not strong enough to support sugar at 30 cents a pound. Volume is pegged at 133,962 lots traded. ICE March sugar rose 43 points, or 1.6%, to settle at 26.60 cents a pound.
