DJ MARKET TALK: ICE Mar Sugar Up On Weak Dollar, Firm Indexes 0822 EST [Dow Jones] - World raw sugar futures are higher Monday morning, supported by a weak US dollar index and gains in the commodity indexes. Prices are attempting to rebound technically after posting sharp 4% losses Friday that came amid steep declines in commodities as a whole. Analytical firm F.O. Licht estimates global sugar production in 2009-10 down to 153.9 million metric tons raw value, down 2.9 million tons from the firm's October estimate. Production estimates were reduced in Brazil, Mexico, China, Indonesia, Pakistan and Thailand. ICE Mar sugar is up 40 points, or 1.6%, at 26.57 cents a pound.
